The Power of the Purse event brings together civic-minded leaders whose charitable activities help improve the well-being of at-risk women and girls in our community. The net proceeds from the event support the Women’s Initiative Network Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Collier County. Last year, the Women’s Initiative Network made grants totaling almost $58,000 to programs that address issues impacting women and girls in Collier County.

Community Foundation president, Eileen Connolly-Keesler, spoke about WIN’s mission: “The Women’s Initiative Network is the only organization in Collier County dedicated to building an endowment to support the unmet and changing needs of women and girls. These resources acquired during the Power of the Purse will guarantee that, even in difficult economic times, there will always be a source of funding available to address those needs”.
