Echelon Investment Management Partners with Shadowmatch USA to Strengthen Business Performance and Team Alignment through Team Analysis

Echelon Investment Management recently partnered with Shadowmatch USA. The goal of the partnership was accelerating business performance and business strategy by looking at the behaviors and habits of its team rather than individual team members.

“Thanks to Shadowmatch, we realized that an individual can’t perform to expectations if they’re habits and behaviors aren’t aligned as a group and to the position they are in," said Michael Young, managing partner, Echelon Investment Management.

Echelon Investment Management, a Dallas-based private wealth management firm, partnered with Shadowmatch USA with the goal of maximizing business strategy and team performance by looking at the behaviors and habits of its team. After meeting with Echelon's management team and discussing business goals, Shadowmatch formulated a strategic plan and tactics.

Each member of the Echelon team completed the Shadowmatch worksheet. The results showed strategically how the team performs and is perceived by colleagues and clients. Tactically, they revealed how behaviors and habits drive individual performance. Findings and recommended business strategies were shared with the Echelon management team.

The team was then debriefed on how everyone fits within the group and how they can maximize their internal success by understanding and embracing the individual behaviors of each team member.

“We realized that an individual can’t perform to expectations if they’re habits and behaviors aren’t aligned as a group and to the position they are in," said Michael Young, managing partner, Echelon Investment Management. "We know our business success has been and continues to be realized by the strength of our internal team.”

Echelon believes the results of this team alignment workshop will drive team and individual performance as well as assist in recruiting and assessing candidates to ensure a good fit for the team for its growing business.

“Performance is about looking at the team versus the individual in order to learn what drives success. Every one is a cog in the wheel and together their behaviors need to fit within the group as well as the role they are in,” said Adrian Wood, co-founder Shadowmatch USA.
