EGC, a recognized world leader in the engineering and manufacturing of graphite and graphite composites for high temperature applications in fluid sealing or thermal systems management, has partnered with an east coast sales agency called Technical Products Incorporated (TPI). TPI will be responsible for opening new doors in the lucrative aerospace aftermarket for EGC products including Thermafoil and Tri-Clad high-temperature seal and gasket products.
Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, TPI has a wealth of engineering and sales expertise in the field of fluid sealing. For nearly twenty years, TPI has represented Kurt Manufacturing for contract solutions, Everett Charles Technologies for electrical connectors, VB Seals for PTFE and elastomer sealing and Hydra-Seal a manufacturer of piston rings for the hydraulic industry.
“We’re very excited about this opportunity in that we have some new opportunities from new accounts that are looking for a high temperature material like flexible graphite,” said Dan Monaco, President of TPI. “Mostly, we call on aerospace and defense companies but there may be opportunity for Q-foil thin-film heaters in some of the medical accounts we’re pursuing. I’ll be covering Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi while Chris Miller (the heir apparent to TPI) will focus on states from Maine to South Carolina,” said Monaco.
“The point of this endeavor is to develop new business for high-temperature fluid sealing and large-scale, thin-film heaters,” said Chris Miller of TPI. “That’s why we’re going after these new opportunities. We’re trying to grow the business.”
“Dan and Chris bring years of sales and engineering experience with them, especially in fluid sealing products such as PTFE and metal,” says Jeff Bernthisel, Vice President of EGC. “They’ve specialized in developing business at the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) level in aerospace, aircraft, valve and pump manufacturers. But they’ve also done a great job of seizing opportunities in the aftermarket for products that, we believe, are critical to our success.”
