The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation announced today its grant of $50,000 to the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy (NCOHF) to support oral health services and education through NCOHF’s Orange County Oral Health Zone Program® in California.

The Orange County NCOHF Oral Health Zone Program is engaging a range of local constituent groups and stakeholders in a comprehensive approach to breaking the cycle of severe tooth decay and its devastating effects on local families. The support of the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation will help NCOHF achieve its goals to educate Orange County residents about oral health, expand services for at-risk populations, and improve access to care and oral health education throughout the area.

“We are big believers in helping a child smile every day, and initiatives such as this go a long way toward reaching the underserved and helping more people achieve good oral health,” said John Yamamoto, DDS, vice president of Professional Services for Delta Dental of California, which oversees the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation.

“This generous donation from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation will help deliver critical oral health services and education to children and their families in Orange County,” said Fern Ingber, NCOHF President and CEO. “We look forward to building a lasting partnership as we implement and expand our smile-saving programs throughout the region.”
