Raleigh Clinic Offering Therapy To Patients Who Have Suffered Lower Extremity Limb Loss

'Rehabilitation efforts for individuals who have undergone limb loss should focus on improving confidence, restoring functional independence, and returning individuals to their community.' - Chris Runkle, PT, DPT

Dunn Physical Therapy is proud to announce that they are now offering prosthetic therapy to patients who have undergone lower extremity limb loss. The service will be available from their Raleigh clinic, located at 6500 Creedmoor Road, Suite 208.

Early intervention is a critical part of successful recovery after lower extremity limb loss. Outpatient prosthetic therapy services will include both pre- and post-operative care, pre-prosthetic care, prosthetic use and gait training, and prosthetic management. A combination of residual limb and volume management, contracture prevention and treatment, strength training, gait training, and more will be used to customize a treatment approach tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

“We are thrilled to begin offering prosthetic therapy from our Raleigh clinic,” said Chris Runkle, PT, DPT, Dunn Physical Therapy’s Prosthetic Specialist. “Rehabilitation efforts for individuals who have undergone limb loss should focus on improving confidence, restoring functional independence, and returning individuals to their community. I look forward to working with the members of our community to achieve these goals.”
