With the October release of Apple Pay for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, consumers will be able to create an electronic wallet to store all their credit card information and use it to make purchases at enabled retailers, and in participating apps, with just a touch to their iPhone.
Paying with Apple Pay will be very fast and very secure. Customers will pay with the wave of their phones, without having to swipe a physical card. The phone will not transmit any payment data to the terminal, and thumbprint recognition will add another layer of security.
Apple Pay will work with Visa, MasterCard and American Express, and there are over 220,000 retail locations and apps that are currently slated to accept Apple Pay, with many more expected.
