Integrated Medicine Alliance, Monmouth County’s leader in health and wellness, is opening another new medical specialty practice through a unique partnership with an established cardiology group. IMA Cardiology will be located within the company’s Shrewsbury location and will be staffed by Dr. Ziad Abbud and Dr. Isaac Tawfik of American Heart Center, P.C., a highly regarded practice located in Neptune, N.J. The new practice will offer Integrated Medicine Alliance patients top notch cardiovascular care without leaving the group’s network and furthers its mission of providing proactive wellness care that not only treats illnesses, but acts to prevent them.
“Cardiology is a natural extension of our overall mission here at Integrated Medicine Alliance, which is to help our patients manage their medical conditions and proactively promote wellness and healthy lifestyles,” said Dr. Jan Glowacki, a member of Integrated Medicine Alliance’s Board of Directors. “IMA Cardiology will work seamlessly with not only our primary care practices, but also our Wellness Center and other specialties to offer our patients even more care options in house.”
A participant in the Patient Centered Medical Home Initiative, Integrated Medicine Alliance endeavors to provide patients with more personalized, coordinated care options. Its primary care physicians and patient care coordinators work seamlessly with specialists using shared patient history databases to manage care effectively and efficiently and provide better outcomes to patients.
“Joining a medical group on the cutting edge of proactive, coordinated care was a natural step for our practice and we could not be more excited to be on board,” said Dr. Abbud, who founded American Heart Center, P.C., in 2002. “We are looking forward to providing our services to a new group of patients and helping Integrated Medicine Alliance continue growing into one of the state’s leading medical groups.”
Integrated Medicine Alliance is a medical “group without walls” comprised of three Walk-In Care centers, seven primary care practices and specialty care centers including a physical therapy center, cardiology practice, a diagnostic center, a podiatrist, a wellness center and more. The company was founded in 1994 in an effort to consolidate administrative services and give providers more time and resources to do what they do best – serve patients. Integrated Medicine Alliance is at the forefront of the Patient Centered Medical Home initiative to provide proactive wellness and preventative care to patients with customized medical plans that suite their needs.
