Tickets are now on sale for the 7th Annual Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest which will take place on November 14, 15 and 16, 2014 in conjunction with Miami Live Month. Beginning in 2008, this event has showcased local and national talent in a lavish tropical setting, including jazz greats Spyro Gyra and The Neville Brothers.
This year, the weekend will be kicked off on Friday, November with an Evening of Jazz at the 5-Star Acqualina Resort and Spa. A prefix menu is included with the ticket and may be purchased through the resort reception at 305.918.6860.
At the main event, Saturday night,November 15 from 7-10 pm, jazz music will flow from the stage at Heritage Park (19200 Collins Avenue). Local, talented jazz vocalists Brenda Alford, Rochelle Lightfoot, and LeNard Rutledge will be accompanied by the Melton Mustafa Orchestra presenting What a Wonderful World, for an evening which jazz enthusiasts will not want to miss. Special featured artist Leon Foster Thomas is a Trinidad native and National Panorama competition with Phase II Pan Groove 2014 winner.
Event gates open at 6 pm. General Admission is $15 ($10 for SIB Resident ID Cardholders) for lawn seating, guests must bring their own chair or blanket. Food and drink will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Joshua’s Heart Foundation. VIP Tickets, which include seating, food and beverages, are $50. Limited valet parking in the garage is $15 per vehicle (cash) and self-parking under the William Lehman Causeway is free. Look for event parking signage to direct you to the parking option you prefer. Valet parking is available to the first 120 cars only. Tickets for the Saturday event are now on sale at the Government Center (18070 Collins Avenue) and Pelican Community Park (18115 North Bay Road) and at online at sibjazzfest.ticketleap.com.
