The vendors in the high-end market, meanwhile, are engaging in a feature race. This is causing the price of high-end video editing software to rise, but buyers in that market are typically less price-conscious. In addition, the software exhibits low specialization, and almost all products are available off-the-shelf with publicized specifications, making it easy for buyers to compare the features and capabilities of competitors. Finally, most vendors are financially stable and without serious supply threats, which aids buyers.
