New York, NY (PRWEB) October 07, 2014
Biotech Science News (BSN), a website that promotes research, encourages life scientists to share their accomplishments and ranks scientists and their organizations, today announced the Top 10 pharmaceutical companies presenting at Drug Design meetings.
The list includes:
- Eli Lilly
- Bristol–Meyers Squibb
- Johnson & Johnson
These rankings of pharmaceutical companies emerged as BSN tracked over 7,040 presentations at drug design meetings. The presentations represent 8 percent of the 80,598 presentations, and almost half of the pharmaceutical companies in the BSN database.
Since 2011, the BSN drug design rankings have had small changes. Pfizer, Merck, Novartis and AstraZeneca have remained in positions, one, two, three or four. Wyeth and Roche moved up and Bristol-Meyers Squibb joined the Top 10.

The BSN rankings are based on the activities and accomplishments of over 59,729 researchers in over 17,178 organizations who have made over 80,598 presentations. Their accomplishments include speaking/presenting, grants, honors, clinical trials, patents, editorial positions, published peer review papers, proceeding papers, membership in professional organizations and white papers.
BSN ranks and reports on the people, organizations and news in terms of generating the most consequence, activity and interest in the life science community. BSN also provides insight into the agendas that are being driven by the major academic and pharmaceutical organizations as they present at life science meetings. Researchers track early stage developments and details through BSN's reporting of presentations given at life science meetings.
“The website offers scientists a comprehensive resource to track life science research activity," said BSN Managing Partner, Zachary Dicker. "We continue to encourage scientists in the life sciences arena to share their accomplishments to help us track the complete life science research network."
BSN encourages researchers and executives to post both their CVs and their research. By posting, individuals can improve their "Accomplishment" score and the ranking of their organizations. Information can include accomplishments such as, invited presentations and lectures, honors, grants clinical trials, editorial positions, peer-reviewed papers, non/pre-peer reviewed papers, membership in professional societies, and white papers.
