Filmmaker Stephen Kogon (Max Mooth -- Cyber Sleuth), has announced his first feature film "Dance Baby Dance," about an underdog tap dancer who goes after his dreams. A feel-good movie about inspiration and overcoming the odds, the film features 8-year old actress Hayley Shukiar in the role of Kit, who comes into the life of Jimmy Percer (played by Kogon), and shows him a new perspective and way of living, ultimately inspiring our protagonist to live big and pursue his dreams.
“I wanted to make this movie for over a decade, “ says Kogon, “I want people to leave the film with a smile on their face and a dance in their step, to be inspired to go after whatever their dream may be.”
Kogon, who will also direct Dance Baby Dance, has assembled a team of professionals including producer Travis Huff, who recently worked as a producer for Giovanni Ribisi and his production company Stellascope, and actress Lisa Brenner, who had a strong supporting role in Mel Gibson’s The Patriot as Heath Ledger’s character’s wife, Anne Howard.
Kogon, Huff, Brenner and the entire team have launched a fundraising effort on the popular new site Fanbacked, and have currently raised over $25,000 in backer support. Rewards include tap-dancing lessons, meet n’ greets, opportunities to be in the film, and a B-day sing-a-long video from Co-Star Hayley Shukiar.
