Hospital associated infection numbers are staggering and can be significantly reduced by simply washing hands the correct way – that is what is at the core of this product – washing hands in a manner that will reduce communicable diseases

Enforc Hygiene, LLC is the latest cutting-edge company to join The Hamilton Mill. Enforc is in the process of developing and marketing a revolutionary handwashing system that provides a certified path towards clean hands. The solution is ideal for numerous industries including healthcare, foodservice, and educational industries and teaches users how to properly wash their hands according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. In fact, hospital associated infections (HAI’s) - infections that are acquired while in a facility for another issue - account for approximately 100,000 deaths each year. The economic impact can be between $28-35 billion dollars per year according to the Centers for Disease Control. The Enforc Hygiene System is addressing a huge medical related problem by addressing the root cause – the improper washing of the hands.
The patented Enforc Hygiene System is comprised of a water faucet, soap dispenser, and an LCD screen and works by ensuring that the end-user washes their hands for approximately 20 seconds – the recommended amount of time as prescribed by both the CDC and World Health Organization. The foolproof device guarantees that the handwasher performs the full twenty second allotment of soap cleansing by shutting off the water flow for twenty seconds. In addition, the attached LCD screen will display the proper technique for scrubbing hands. All of this is wrapped into a comprehensive handwashing solution that will mean millions, if not billions, of dollars in savings for target industries. Antony Seppi, Operations Director at The Hamilton Mill says, “The Enforc team is indicative of a well positioned startup team. They are developing and building out an innovative, tangible product that addresses a real customer need and a real world problem.”
In conjunction with the CDC’s Global Handwashing Day on October 15, Enforc founders Drew Hamilton and Aaron Spurlock are kicking off an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the prototype development of their system. “The HAI numbers are staggering and can be significantly reduced by simply washing hands the correct way – that is what is at the core of this product – washing hands in a manner that will reduce communicable diseases,” says founder Drew Hamilton. Again Drew says, “Right now our initial goal is to fund prototype development and then get to a point where we can test the product with interested parties – The Hamilton Mill is a key part of that.”
The crowdfunding campaign will go live on Wednesday, October 15 – make sure to check out Indiegogo next Wednesday and search “Enforc”.
