I’ve always thought of home brewing as being fun on so many levels. National Learn to Homebrew Day is a wonderful chance to get started with this amazing hobby.

Saturday, November 1st is National Learn to Homebrew Day. The KegWorks Store will be celebrating all day long with a series of brew-centric events and a special sale.
National Learn to Homebrew Day was established in 1999 by the American Homebrewers Association (AHA). Their goal was to promote home brewing and demonstrate how easy it is to get started brewing real beer at home. For many, this hobby quickly becomes a lifelong passion that combines creativity, ingenuity, a willingness to solve problems, and so much more. Of course, there’s also the beer.
Justin Frost, one of KegWorks' avid homebrewers and their resident brew teacher, notes, “I’ve always thought of home brewing as being fun on so many levels. It’s all about timing and balancing and trying things out. Do things go wrong sometimes? Sure, that happens to everyone. But when things go right, it’s so nice to drink that first pint and know you brewed it yourself. And remember: every award-winning brewer that you’ve ever heard of started out with a single batch of homebrew.”
The KegWorks Store, located at 1460 Military Road in Kenmore, will be celebrating the spirit of National Learn to Homebrew Day with a day of special homebrew tastings, brewing demonstrations, and a dedicated Ask the Brewer session, wherein you can lob your toughest questions at their expert, experienced homebrewers.
KegWorks will feature 15% off of all home brewing ingredients, and they’re also offering a free ingredient pack with the purchase of a Deluxe Homebrew Equipment Starter Kit (a package which contains all the necessary hardware for any first-time homebrewer). In addition to these in-store events, the KegWorks website (http://www.kegworks.com) is also having a Learn to Homebrew Day Sale. From Tuesday October 21 - Sunday November 2, KegWorks is discounting all of their homebrew ingredients and the Deluxe Homebrew Equipment Starter Kit by 15%.
“National Learn to Homebrew Day is a wonderful chance to get started with this amazing hobby. If you love beer and have been thinking about trying your hand at brewing some, come see us on November 1st. We’ll get you started on the right path,” says Frost.
The KegWorks Store will be open from 10am to 6pm on National Learn to Homebrew Day. For more information about the schedule of events, call 716-929-7570 or visit the store.
