E Source, a leading research and advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Brad Davids, Cameron Brooks, and Dennis Crumb are now working with the E Source consulting team as retained advisors. The trio of energy industry leaders brings deep knowledge in the areas of demand-side management (DSM), regulatory affairs, and customer experience.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Brad, Cameron, and Dennis to our team of consultants,” says Mike Hildebrand, vice president of Consulting Solutions for E Source. “The utilities we work with need best-in-class solutions to their most challenging problems, so it’s essential that we have the right mix of expertise on the team. With the addition of these major industry players and trusted leaders, we’ve expanded our already solid capabilities to help utilities tackle tough projects and corporate initiatives.”

Brad Davids, a co-founder of E Source, is a well-respected DSM and demand-response expert with more than 20 years of experience related to retail energy and end-use markets. Previously, he was vice president of Utility Solutions at EnerNOC; held senior marketing positions at Puget Energy Services, DoubleClick, and Southwall Technologies; and was president and CEO of Primen, a subsidiary of the Electric Power Research Institute.

Cameron Brooks, president of E9 Insight, has spent more than two decades at the cutting edge of energy markets and environmental advocacy. He has held senior positions with smart grid, renewable energy, and energy-efficiency firms and has deep experience with public policy, capital markets, and electricity regulation. Previously, Brooks served as vice president of policy for Tendril, vice president of resource development at Renewable Choice Energy, and director at the Clean Energy States Alliance. Brooks is the founder of Tolerable Planet Enterprises, a strategic advisory firm.

Dennis Crumb, president of optimalCX Solutions, is a nationally recognized speaker and authority on the subject of web and mobile self-service as well as customer marketing, engagement, and satisfaction. Previously, he was the senior web architect for Avista Utilities, leading the development and execution of the company’s award-winning website.

“The E Source consulting team was already strong, with the likes of Maureen Russolo, Chad Garrett, Tim Stout, and Mike Weedall, but by adding these three experts to support specific client projects, we can offer broad utility solutions—from strategy development through implementation—in so many critical areas,” states Hildebrand.

With decades of experience within the utility industry as well as outside of it, the E Source Consulting Solutions team can help utilities build strong account management teams, create a long-term customer experience strategy, segment their business and residential customers, and optimize their DSM portfolios.
