New York Business Expo & Conference Hosts Successful 10th Anniversary Event

The Northeast’s largest business trade show draws more than 8,000 attendees

The 10th New York Business Expo and Conference drew more than 8,000 attendees to its 10th New York Business Expo and Conference on October 30.

“This year confirmed that small businesses are seeking meaningful direction on the most pressing issues facing their operations, from finance to sales growth to marketing and general business development,” said Marc Sherer, president of Event Management LLC. “Business owners and company decision-makers value the knowledge they gain and connections they make at our annual New York Business Expo and Conference events.”

The 10th New York Business Expo and Conference featured a new Keynote Theater with a conversation series and featured keynote speaker. Keynote Speaker and “America’s small business expert” Bill Walsh gave a compelling presentation on invaluable information for small businesses such as how to monetize intellectual property, the steps necessary to launch a successful small business, and how to design a 2-year “success plan.” MSNBC’s JJ Ramberg hosted the Conversation Series, posing thought-provoking questions to Facebook’s Small and Medium Business Team Lead Bess Yount, Likeable Local’s CEO Dave Kerpen, and Three-Time World Series Champion Dwight “Doc” Gooden.

Experts provided 38 business seminars in 10 educational tracks throughout the day to sharpen attendees’ skills in sales, social media, advertising, technology and more. Constant Contact also hosted its Annual Digital Marketing Conference as part of the NY Business Expo. Representatives from Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube led the event’s Social Media Lab, where attendees gathered to learn the tricks of the social media trade and how to leverage their social media accounts to generate attention and profits.

More than 200 exhibitors discussed products and services with attending business professionals on the Javits Center’s massive showroom floor, which also served as a hub for networking. The event was followed by an after-hours networking event for business owners.

Event sponsors included Daily News Digital Solutions, Intuit, Facebook, Likeable Local, Mercer, VEDC, Constant Contact, Powerteam International, NVO, Better Business Bureau, SCORE New York, American Airlines and Co-Communications.
