Agency Recognized with One Platinum and Two Gold Awards

DStreet, a Denver-based boutique communications consultancy, won the MarCom Platinum Award for its work with Visual Intelligence and two Marcom Gold Awards for its work with Carey Lohrenz and the Denver Boat Show. The awards recognize outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals and draw entries from across the globe.

Visual Intelligence – Marcom Platinum Award
DStreet conducted a media relations campaign to change the GIS industry’s perception of the imaging and sensor from primarily an R&D organization to a market-ready product company. The agency placed more than 10 bylined articles and dozens of product news briefs in important vertical outlets resulting in nearly three times the web traffic and a significant jump in inbound sales calls.

Carey Lohrenz – Marcom Gold Award
Lohrenz was one of the first female fighter pilots in the U.S. Navy and had since embarked on a professional coaching and speaking career. She had a politically-motivated vocal detractor that had tied her to negative stories, dominating the first page of her search results. The agency took advantage of the news cycle and placed an op-ed for her on TIME.com and DStreet’s digital team enhanced Lohrenz’s SEO, bumping all of unwanted results to the second page.

Denver Boat Show - Marcom Gold Award
The Denver Boat Show and Denver Bronco playoff games often conflict, causing a dearth of news coverage and decreased attendance for the event. DStreet leveraged the singular focus of the news cycle to its advantage, creating a Bronco visual for the show’s draw, developed social media partnerships with local media and ran social promotions to drive attendance. The result was extensive coverage prior to and during the Boat Show and an increase in attendance from the previous year.
