At this year’s conference, 32 women from Australia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Peru, the Philippines, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Zimbabwe will be honored for their achievements in business development, revenue, market penetration, and innovation, among other milestones. “I am thrilled to receive this prestigious award,” states Vigdis Eriksen. “As a woman-owned business enterprise that helps companies reach their global audiences, it is a special honor to be recognized alongside such a talented group of female entrepreneurs who are growing successful businesses around the world.”

A long-time supporter of gender equity and opportunities for women-owned businesses, Vigdis served as co-chair of the 2014 Re:Gender (formerly the National Council for Research on Women) Fire Starter Awards Dinner, an annual event that celebrates individuals who have sparked lasting change for gender equity. She is an active member of the Women Presidents’ Organization, and her company has been certified as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and New York City and State.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Ensuring the Health of Your Business in a Competitive Global Market.” During the conference, attendees will network with local business people and explore subjects such as the role of business, the impact of trade and investment in business enterprises, the health of their communities and world economy, modernizing, and many other pivotal subjects and panels.
