A Christmas Celebration will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 5pm-7pm at Yurch Funeral Home where Santa and his reindeer will be there to help collect new, unwrapped toys for the children of active duty military in the Cleveland area. Toys are being donated to the USO Cleveland Office along with the US Army Recruiting Battalion.

Operation Toy Soldier is a nationwide initiative by Veterans Funeral Care to provide toys to the children of deployed and non-deployed soldiers, and also the children of soldiers that have just returned home.

Yurch Funeral Home will be participating in Operation Toy Soldier, a nationwide toy drive for the children of local, active duty military members.

"Because our area has a large number of military families, we are happy to participate in this annual holiday toy drive, " explained Bud Linder, Managing Funeral Director at Yurch Funeral Home. "We are collecting toys for families in the Cleveland area where their father or mother might actually be deployed overseas during Christmas. This is just one small way we can thank our military personnel for all they do for our country."

Please join us on Sunday, December 7th from 5pm-7pm at Yurch Funeral Home located at 5618 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio 44134. Santa and his reindeer will be there along with some festive Nativity animals helping to collect new, unwrapped toys for Operation Toy Soldier. We will also have some active duty military members joining us for the evening. Come on by for some cookies and milk and Christmas cheer.

The toy drive will continue through December 20th.
