I am excited about the opportunity to gather some of Santa Fe's unique artisans in one place so that locals can enjoy relaxed holiday shopping that will give to a great cause this season.
Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) December 05, 2014
The Food Depot (http://www.thefooddepot.org/), Northern New Mexico’s food bank, is pleased to announce its first ever Holiday Shopping Bazaar and fundraiser. Taking place this Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Santa Fe School of Cooking from 3:00p to 5:00p (MST), the Holiday Shopping Bazaar lets attendees peruse unique gift selections from local vendors in a warm, relaxed environment—all while enjoying a cocktail, consuming delicious appetizers cooked on-site, and listening to festive music by DJ Felix Cordova. A $25 entry fee will be collected at the door, which covers beer, wine, and food. Door prizes will also be announced every 20-minutes. All funds collected from admission will benefit The Food Depot.
"Santa Fe is a community that values not only arts and small businesses, but the opportunity to take care of those less fortunate," said Megan Perkins, who started the Holiday Shopping Bazaar. "I am excited about the opportunity to gather some of Santa Fe's unique artisans in one place so that locals can enjoy relaxed holiday shopping that will give to a great cause this season."
Holiday Shopping Bazaar vendors will include Santa Fe Collective, Noonday Collection, Teres Kids, Cynthia Jones Jewelry, Santa Fe Oils, Modern Folk Ware, Gifts Galore Party Store, Rock Mama Metals, Jamberry Nails, Why Knot Design, and Pretty Simple Things.
Interested attendees can purchase tickets for $25 at the door, or for $22 online before Sunday, December 7, 2014. VIP tickets can also be purchased online for $40, or at the door for $50, which provide early entry to the event beginning at 2:00p (MST).

ABOUT THE FOOD DEPOT: The Food Depot is Northern New Mexico's food bank. Across Northern New Mexico there are tens of thousands of people—children, seniors, veterans, working families—who find themselves from time to time without enough to eat. The Food Depot does its best to see that they are fed. The Food Depot's job is to solicit surplus food from a variety of sources and redistribute it to more than a hundred local nonprofit agencies that, in turn, provide it to people in need. The idea is simple. But the numbers are daunting. The Food Depot is committed, with your help, to using these operating strategies to fulfill our mission.
