(ISC)²® Announces Newly Elected 2015 Board of Directors

Four information and software security experts from around the globe join governing body to represent the largest cybersecurity membership in the world.

"I’m pleased to see a diverse group of candidates, both in experience and geographic location, elected to the 2015 Board,” said W. Hord Tipton, CISSP, executive director, (ISC)2.

(ISC)²® (“ISC-squared”), the largest not-for-profit membership body of certified information and software security professionals with over 100,000 members worldwide, today announced the results of the election for its 2015 Board of Directors. The 13-member Board provides strategy, governance and oversight for the organization, grants certifications to qualifying candidates, and enforces adherence to the (ISC)² Code of Ethics.

The following individuals will begin their voluntary service on (ISC)²’s Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2015:

  •     Flemming Faber, CISSP (Denmark)
  •     Steven Hernandez, CISSP, CAP, CSSLP, HCISPP, SSCP (U.S.A.)
  •     Dr. Meng-Chow Kang, CISSP (Singapore)
  •     Allison Miller, CISSP (U.S.A.)

“First, I would like to express my appreciation to the outgoing Board members for their service to (ISC)² over the last three years. I’m pleased to see a diverse group of candidates, both in experience and geographic location, elected to the 2015 Board,” said W. Hord Tipton, CISSP, executive director, (ISC)2. “Several of those elected have made longstanding contributions to the organization over the years in other volunteer capacities, so I’m confident that they will be outstanding members of the Board.”

The four newly elected professionals will join the ranks of other top information security professionals from around the world representing academia, private organizations, and government agencies. Each of the Board members volunteer to provide strategic direction for the organization and are (ISC)²-certified.
