The Braintrust Consulting Group will host five days of Scrum training and offer Scrum Essentials, User Story Workshop, Agile Engineering and Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)-track two classes in Tampa, Florida the week of January 26-30, 2015.

The Braintrust Consulting Group, a worldwide leader in Agile, kicks off the 2015 schedule in Tampa, Florida with Scrum training classes the week of January 26-30, 2015. Early registration is now open for individual training courses: Certified Scrum Developer (CSD)-Track Two (5 days), Agile Engineering Practices (3 days), User Story Workshop (1 day), and Scrum Essentials (1 day).

The Braintrust Consulting Group has bundled a series of classes into a complete track to earn Scrum Developer certification, as outlined by The Scrum Alliance. A Certified Scrum Developer is someone who has demonstrated through a combination of formal training and a technical skills assessment that he or she has a working understanding of Scrum principles and has learned specialized Agile engineering skills. The Certified Scrum Developer Track Two course combines our Scrum Essentials class, Agile Engineering Practices class, and User Story Workshop class into an in-depth five-day training.

The CSD Track Two is intended for professional software developers and is ideal for candidates who already have their Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification or developers who are interested in move advanced Test Driven Development (TDD) techniques. At the conclusion of the five days, participants will have a thorough understanding of Scrum Development and meet all requirements to earn Scrum Developer (CSD) certification. Members of the Project Management Institute will earn 35 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining their existing credentials by attending this class. Agile Engineering, a three-day class, will be held January 28-30, 2015 for those who may have already fulfilled other components of the Certified Scrum Developer certification. Agile Engineering Practices is aimed at helping software development professionals and teams be more effective when implementing Scrum and other Agile software development methodologies. It is designed to deliver the core Agile Development Practices Learning Objectives of that program and should prepare the participant to successfully pass the Scrum Alliance CSD Candidate Assessment. Members of the Project Management Institute will earn 21 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining their existing credentials for attending this three-day class.

For those interested in an introduction to Scrum, a Scrum Essentials class will be taught on January 26, 2015, which offers attendees an in-depth immersion into the world of Scrum. This class requires no prerequisites and is full of practical, real world techniques that attendees can implement immediately at their workplace. Members of the Project Management Institute will earn 7 Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining their existing credentials for attending this class.

Scrum Essentials is an ideal class for software architects, software developers, software development managers, and systems analysts who are interested in aligning development efforts around delivering the highest business value features first and increasing customer satisfaction and time to market delivery, among the other benefits of Scrum.

User Story Workshop, a full-day workshop on January 27, 2015, is open for registration for Business Analysts, Product Owners and anyone involved in the writing of User Stories. This course focuses on how to gather Agile requirements and document them as User Stories. Participants are encouraged to jump start their next Agile project with the knowledge of User Stories.

Erick Fleming, CSM, JCD, MCT, MSCD, will instruct these training courses. He is a certified .NET and Java Developer with over 17 years of programming and training experience. Fleming holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida. He has spent most of his career training and consulting with organizations on technologies ranging from .NET and Java to Linux and other open source tools, and specializes in cloud-based web solutions.

All classes will be held at the Hampton Inn—Clearwater located at 21030 US Highway 19 North Clearwater, Florida 33765.
