Roadtrip Nation, a career exploration organization and long running PBS television series based in Southern California, will bring its innovative approach to college and career readiness to this year’s AVID National Conference. The conference is an annual forum to discuss and share best practices on opening access to rigorous curriculum for all. Taking place from December 11-13 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Roadtrip Nation’s Education Team will share with superintendents, school board members, and other educational leaders the organization’s unique strategies in engaging at-risk students and millennials with the tools to prepare for their future careers and define their own roads in life.
Roadtrip Nation has been ranked by USC as one of the most influential organizations transforming education today through its ability to reach millennials effectively. Focused on this theme, the team will deliver a specialized presentation at the conference on December 13 at 9 and 10 am. It will review best practices with at-risk students through the marked success Roadtrip Nation’s curriculum has had in the classroom, with an emphasis on self-reflection exercises and fresh, curated content tailored to the millennial generation.
