Brothers-All-Natural fully supports the values and mission of the Non-GMO Project
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) December 18, 2014
The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and building sources of non-GMO products, educating consumers, and providing verified non-GMO choices. GMOs, or "genetically modified organisms,” are plants or animals that have been genetically engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses, and other animals and plants.
Brothers-All-Natural plans to have all of their products Non-GMO Project verified in the near future. With the addition of three more Fruit Crisps varieties; Fuji Apple, Apple Cinnamon, and Asian Pear, there are now nine of their freeze-dried fruit products that have received the Non-GMO Project verification seal of approval. These products include all varieties of the new Fruit Clusters; ™ Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry Apple, and Raspberry Apple, as well as nine varieties of Fruit Crisps; Mango, Strawberry, Banana, Fuji Apple, Apple Cinnamon, and Asian Pear. All of these products passed a rigorous, independent verification process that assures consumers the products have met the Non-GMO Project Standard to avoid genetically modified organisms (GMO).
The Non-GMO Project offers North America’s only independent verification for products made according to rigorous best practices for GMO avoidance. Our shared belief is that everyone deserves an informed choice about whether or not to consume genetically modified organisms.
Brothers-All-Natural fully supports the values and mission of the Non-GMO Project. “Our products are held to the highest standards and we believe in protecting the integrity and safety of the food we eat,” says Travis Betters, co-CEO of Brothers International Food Corporation. “Consumers should be aware of what ingredients are in the products they purchase,” he adds.
In addition to being non GMO, Brothers-All-Natural freeze-dried Fruit Crisps and Fruit Clusters™ are gluten free, soy free, peanut/tree nut free, vegan, and OU Kosher certified.
