Windsor Marketing Group (WMG), an innovative in-store marketing company based in Suffield, CT has joined a community of companies that have signed on to The Corporate Challenge, an initiative put forth by Massachusetts’ Governor Deval Patrick to engage women in the workforce.

The Corporate Challenge is an invitation issued by Governor Patrick in cooperation with Bentley University and its Center for Women and Business (CWB). The goal is to enlist businesses to formally commit to grow and retain women at all levels, including board positions.

Businesses that commit to The Corporate Challenge can choose from a list of criteria to participate including actively recruiting women to fill positions at all levels, increase the percentage of women among the top 10 percent of the company’s senior positions, and increase the number of women on a company’s Board of Directors.

Bentley’s Center for Women and Business is focused on helping women reach their full potential in the workplace and helping corporations engage the full potential of talented women leaders.

The CWB has convened a group of resource partners to support “Challenge” companies with a variety of tools and resources. The group includes consultants, academic organizations, and public service organizations engaged in gender quality issues.

Windsor Marketing Group has a longstanding tradition of social responsibility. The company has twice been honored with Connecticut’s “Family Business Award,” and was featured in the 2013 business management book, Conscious Capitalism, for its heroic efforts in building its state-of-the-art facility in Suffield, Connecticut during the recession of 2008.
