As the economy recovers and business picks up, employers in the greater southern Georgia area are relying on staffing companies to fill their needs. The increase in demand has sent Express Employment Professionals, the nation’s largest franchised staffing company, on an aggressive expansion campaign in Georgia.

With 24 offices currently in operation throughout the state, the company employed more than 13,000 Georgia residents through temporary help, flexible staffing, evaluation and direct hire in 2013. Plans to open four additional locations throughout southern Georgia will allow Express to create more jobs while offering a valuable resource to local businesses.

“We’re a small business operating with a great purpose,” said Jessica Stone, franchising executive for Oklahoma City based Express Employment Professionals. “Every time a new Express franchise opens an average of 600 more people find jobs annually.”

According to the American Staffing Association (ASA), U.S. staffing companies employ an average of 2.95 million temporary and contract workers per business day. Additionally, ASA predicts that in the next 10 years, the U.S. staffing industry is expected to grow faster and add more new jobs than nearly any other industry.

In working with Express, associates are screened and evaluated before being placed in short- and long-term assignments in a variety of administrative, professional and commercial positions. Approximately 50 percent of Express associates are eventually hired on full time at client companies, which range from small- and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 500 companies.

“Potential franchise owners interested in joining our company are really looking for a way to control their own destiny while providing a vital service to their community,” Stone said.
