The Law Office of Corso & Rhude, an Arizona-based criminal defense firm, announced today that it would expand its criminal defense business by opening an office near the Houston Galleria in the city’s Uptown District.

The new office will serve clients throughout the Greater Houston Area and will offer experienced representation for all criminal defense charges including DWIs and felony arrests. Corso & Rhude’s office will be located at 5177 Richmond Ave., Suite 1250 in Houston.

Founded by former Arizona prosecutors Christopher Corso and John Rhude, the firm has handled more than 40,000 cases and counts more than 40 years of combined legal experience.

“Our goal as lawyers has always been to aggressively defend our clients,” Corso said. “It’s led to a successful practice in Arizona and we feel, given the tremendous growth and opportunity that Houston offers, will lead to similar success in Texas, where we plan to offer the same type of experienced legal representation to our clients.”

The timing couldn’t be better for the law firm, which specializes in DWI and felony arrests and is opening during a busy time for DWI arrests in the state.

Last year alone, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officers made 1,505 DWI arrests during holiday enforcement efforts. In addition, DPS enforcement also resulted in 24,928 speeding citations, 2,997 child safety seat citations, 1,078 fugitive arrests and 797 felony arrests during the holiday enforcement period.

Corso & Rhude know from experience that DWI arrests have a tendency to increase at the end of the year. Both attorneys previously prosecuted DUIs, DWIs and OUIs for the Maricopa County (Arizona) Attorney’s Office and together have handled more than 15,000 DUI cases as prosecutors and defense attorneys.

“Aggressive and informed representation is the hallmark of our law firm and something we expect from every one of our lawyers,” Corso said. “Our clients in Houston deserve nothing less.”

The Law Office of Corso & Rhude also handles a multitude of criminal cases, including domestic violence, criminal speeding, possession of drugs and felony drug charges.
