Every hero can fall from grace and every villain can step into the light, but only a balance of order and chaos can be true heroism. This is a story of three honorable warriors fallen from grace. They were forced by survival to become assassins for the Faded Lore guild. During one of their bounties, the three stumble upon an insidious plot to destroy the land.
“Faded Lore”(published by Xlibris) written by author M.L. Smith is a fantasy, action/adventure story focusing on characters and how they decide what is right in their eyes. Faded Lore is an underground assassin’s guild full of the abandoned and unwanted—Cassius, Beatrix, and Iolaus are no different. Readers will follow these antiheroes through trials and tribulations as they try to prove their worth and survive the world they live in.
Fantasy books are out there by the thousands, and most fall under the author’s view on all the characters in the book, says Smith. He added that his book comes from choices real people made while playing their characters in his story. Not only do readers have Smith’s thoughts and choices, but three others he had no control over. It makes the book come to life as you dive into the wonderful adventure that awaits you, he added.
Smith feels that readers will enjoy the adventure in “Faded Lore” and be able to relate to the characters and their choices. He wants his readers to take a break out of their hard days and to get lost in a different world through his book.
