Nominations Open for Novogradac Community Development Individual Achievement Awards

Community Development Leaders to be Honored at National Conference in Washington, D.C.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits Community Development Individual Achievements Awards. The awards were created to recognize those who demonstrated substantial assistance in the advancement of community development, policy and legislative priorities and made an established impact on the field of community development. Nominations for the 2015 Community Development Individual Achievement Awards will be accepted until March 12. Winners will be honored in a ceremony at the Novogradac New Markets Tax Credit Conference, June 11 in Washington.

Individual Achievement Award categories are

  • Federal Legislator of the Year
  • State Legislator of the Year
  • Public Executive of the Year

Individual award nominations will be judged on the following criteria for each category:

  • Vision – How has the nominee’s vision benefited the community?
  • Leadership – How has the nominee led the community toward improvement?
  • Innovation – How has the nominee transformed the community development field?
  • Impact and Policy – What policy changes has the nominee successfully championed?

Winners receive:

  • One complimentary entry to the conference to receive the award;
  • Coverage of the property in the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits;
  • Copies of the Journal of Tax Credits to share with industry contacts; and
  • Recognition on the Novogradac & Company website and YouTube channel, and in a national press release about the event.
