On January 28th The Board of Trustees and CEO, Ken Cochran, of River Valley Health Partners and East Liverpool City Hospital recognized the East Liverpool City Hospital Auxiliary for its outstanding service to the hospital through its contributions in excess of $334,000 and the more than 89,000 volunteer hours worked over the past five years.
"The healthcare industry has forced upon our organization many changes in recent years, however the commitment and dedication from our auxiliary has remained steadfast. Without the support of this great group of volunteers, our organization would not be what it is today," said Ken Cochran, President and CEO of River Valley Health Partners.
The Auxiliary conducts many revenue producing activities in order to provide services, purchase equipment, and fund capital projects for the hospital. Volunteers also provide support in various areas of the hospital through the donation of limitless volunteer hours. The pursuit of these activities allows the Auxiliary to achieve its mission of working in partnership with the East Liverpool City Hospital to promote and advance the health and welfare of the people in the Tri-State area.
Pete Wicks, Board President, said, "The Auxiliary has played a vital role in the hospital since its inception in1934. Not only has it contributed countless hours of volunteer time, and large monetary donations, but it has also served as a valuable link between the community and the hospital."
