Experienced senior industry executive will oversee Product, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development teams to drive growth and market share

As we re-focus our strategy and resources on delivering customizable cloud solutions for the mid-market and enterprise segments, we are pleased to have added a leader with Tom’s experiences and capabilities.

Apptix® (OSE: APP), the premier provider of managed and hosted business communication, collaboration, compliance & security, and infrastructure solutions, today announced that Tom Tighe has joined the company as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Tighe, a managed services veteran and accomplished senior sales executive, will be an integral member of the new Apptix leadership team as the company evolves to offer high-touch, customized public, private, or hybrid cloud services to address the unique needs of mid-market and enterprise organizations.

As CRO, Tighe will be responsible for developing Apptix’s product and sales strategies. He will oversee the Product, Marketing, Sales, and Business Development teams to ensure alignment and go-to-market activities. Following several years of a Channel First strategy, a critical task will be Tighe’s activities to rebuild a highly-skilled direct sales force with the technical and consulting skills to solve businesses’ complex technical challenges.

Tighe is uniquely qualified to fill the new role of CRO. He spent over a decade in sales leadership roles with mindSHIFT, a leading managed services provider, including seven years as Vice President of Sales. He led mindSHIFT sales teams of up to 40 members selling a wide range of services including network management and monitoring, security monitoring and management, off-site backup, helpdesk services, Cloud Email Services, Software as a Service (SaaS), Virtualization as a Service (VaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), VoIP, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). During his tenure, mindSHIFT grew revenue from $40,000 in 2001 to $125M in 2012 at which point the company was acquired by Best Buy.

“As we re-focus our strategy and resources on delivering customizable cloud solutions for the mid-market and enterprise segments, we are pleased to have added a leader with Tom’s experiences and capabilities,” said Johan Lindqvist, Executive Chairman of Apptix. “His high-energy, sales skills, and roll-up the sleeves approach will be crucial to restoring high growth and our long-term success.”
