We always look forward to our annual gala, it’s a fun night for everyone. We’re happy to be able to celebrate the achievements of our school and our students each year.

Atlanta special needs school Cumberland Academy of Georgia is an accredited private school that provides students with a safe, supportive and educational environment. Each year, the school hosts a themed fundraising event to celebrate the accomplishments of its students and provide additional opportunities and resources for the upcoming year. This year, the gala is called Boots and Bandana Ball.

The Boots and Bandana Ball is a country-chic celebration with a juxtaposition of denim and diamonds. It will be an exciting night complete with a barbeque dinner, cocktails, casino-style games, dancing and a live silent auction. 85 percent of the proceeds will directly benefit Cumberland Academy of Georgia; these funds are used to support the annual operating budget at the school, including instructional materials, faculty retention and development, technology and field trips for the students.

At each annual gala, an individual or organization is honored for their contribution to the school; this year, the gala will be honoring LexisNexis. A computer-assisted legal research corporation, LexisNexis sponsored a week long summer programing camp for high school aged students at Cumberland.

“The funds raised at this event enable us to further provide our students with the opportunity to thrive and truly realize their full potential. We’re extremely grateful to our community for their contributions and their continual support,” said Debbi Scarborough, founding director of Cumberland Academy of Georgia. “We always look forward to our annual gala, it’s a fun night for everyone. We’re happy to be able to celebrate the achievements of our school and our students each year.”

The Boots and Bandana Ball will take place on Saturday, February 21 at the Cumberland Cattle Company located at 650-A Mount Vernon Highway NE, Atlanta, Georgia, 30328. The festivities will commence at 7:00 PM. Individual tickets can be purchased or a table for eight or ten can be reserved on Cumberland’s website.
