TU-Automotive Awards: New Smart Mobility Category Announced

TU-Automotive has launched a new category for the TU-Automotive Awards 2015 (June 2, Hyatt Place Detroit, Novi, MI) focusing on the emerging market of smart mobility services to reflect the broadening scope of the connected car industry. Nominations are open until Friday March 13th.

With connectivity enabling so many new opportunities within the vehicle in term of smart mobility, TU-Automotive felt it important to highlight the industry newcomer that is currently providing a best in class solution dedicated to smart mobility including traffic, parking, personal mobility services (i.e. car-sharing), etc. The other TU-Automotive Awards categories have been designed to highlight innovation and talent across each of the different verticals of the connected car space including UBI, commercial vehicles and safety.

The TU-Automotive Awards
These awards are the most anticipated and revered accolade in the industry. Past winners include Octo Telematics North America, Volvo Car Group, Qoros Automotive, NissanConnect, Xtime, Elektrobit Automotive and many more. Any company operating in the connected car space can nominate themselves for an award. It is free to enter and nominees are required to submit a simple product outline to qualify for entry. The deadline is March 13th 2015. Finalists will be chosen by an independent panel of judges and announced on Wednesday April 8th 2015.

There are 12 categories that reward every area of the connected car industry. TU-Automotive encourages companies to customize a nomination to suit each award.

The categories are:
1.    Car Maker of the Year 2015
2.    Commercial Vehicle Maker of the Year 2015
3.    Telematics Service Provider of the Year
4.    Commercial Telematics Service Provider of the Year
5.    Best Connected Car System Integrator
6.    Best Commercial Vehicle System Integrator
7.    Best Insurance Telematics Product
8.    Best Telematics Product or Launch in an Emerging Market
9.    Best Safety or ADAS Solution
10.    Best Mobility Solution Industry Newcomer
11.    Industry Newcomer
12.    TU-Automotive Influencer of the Year

Nominations for a company’s products, services or solutions can be submitted by visiting the following page http://www.tu-auto.com/detroit/awards-index.php and following the 3 basic steps. Nominations must be received before March 13th to be considered.

The awards ceremony itself will take place on June 2 at the Hyatt Place Detroit, MI on the eve of the largest global gathering of Connected Car executives – TU-Automotive Detroit 2015 Conference & Exhibition, June 3-4, Novi, MI.
