For the third year in a row, The Canyon Suites at The Phoenician has been awarded the coveted Five Star ranking by Forbes Travel Guide, making it the only hotel in the greater Phoenix area -- and one of just 115 properties worldwide -- to be so honored. All 2015 recipients are currently showcased on ForbesTravelGuide.com.

For the first time since its debut in 2008, Il Terrazzo, The Phoenician’s nouveau Italian restaurant, received a Four Star ranking. Offering a new, contemporary menu that melds culinary preparation, presentation and personality, the venue features artisan breads and pastas created daily in-house, as well as an award-winning wine list under the direction of Arizona’s only Master Sommelier, Greg Tresner.

Joining Il Terrazzo with Four Star accolades for the 13th consecutive year is the 250-acre Phoenician, and its spa, The Centre for Well-Being, which has regularly earned the designation.

The Canyon Suites, a “resort-within-a-resort” featuring 40 suites and 20 guestrooms, provides a more personalized and memorable guest experience that also caters to a diverse audience. Exclusive offerings include a private infinity pool, daily complimentary wine tastings, a selection of seasonal French press coffees in the main lobby, complimentary Electra bikes for riding throughout the resort or surrounding communities, hypoallergenic rooms and an enhanced dog-friendly program featuring a canine room service menu.

“We are quite honored to have received such prominent recognition from one of the most highly respected and trusted organizations within the hospitality industry,” said Phoenician Managing Director Mark Vinciguerra. “We view these awards as a symbol of our commitment, and an inspiration, in curating a more meaningful and unique experience for each and every guest.”

Added Gerard J. Inzerillo, chief executive officer of Forbes Travel Guide: “Our Star ratings recognize the finest hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. These ratings serve as the most authoritative guideposts for guests seeking exceptional travel experiences. Our primary mission is to contribute to excellence in hospitality, serving the global tourism industry as well as the guest. We’re proud to be associated with those on our global list.”

The Canyon Suites has also been awarded a Five Diamond ranking from the Automobile Association of America (AAA) every year since 2008, and has earned a consistent No. 1 ranking on TripAdvisor since 2012. The Phoenician received its 11th consecutive AAA Five Diamond Award in 2015, and is a Top 10 property on TripAdvisor as well.
