Catalpha Celebrates 2015 Packaging Design Awards

Branding and Packaging Design firm wins five awards from Graphic Design USA for packaging design and point of purchase display work.

This national competition is a great way to see where we stand among our peers. From the results, we continue to excel and are able to bring proof to our clients that we are a quality design and packaging design firm.

Catalpha Advertising & Design learned last week that they had earned five wins in Graphic Design USA's American Package Design Awards. This was Catalpha Advertising & Design's tenth year in the competition and the tenth year they were recognized. Eligible Designs for this national competition were created between January and December 2014.

One Catalpha Advertising & Design win was a Point-of-Purchase Display Award. The Point of Purchase award was granted for a Franke USA Sink Cutting Board Store Display.

The other four awards were Packaging Design awards, with a variety of products being showcased. Two of the winning packages were created for Contour Products. One was a sleeve package style for Contour's new Orthopedic Seat Cushion product, Kabooti. The other was packaging design for body and neck support pillows BackMax and MiniMax. For Cool-Pitch, Catalpha Advertising & Design created the Chill-Bat Beverage Cooler package. Lastly, Catalpha created a set of salon care gift package designs (including shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and other essentials) for Axiom.

“This national competition is a great way to see where we stand among our peers. From the results, we continue to excel and are able to bring proof to our clients that we are a quality design and packaging design firm,” stated Catalpha Advertising & Design owner Don Keller. He went on to add: “These wins are an indicator of the quality people in and out of the industry look for. It is a great way to see what the rest of the competition has out there and gives us an understanding that we’re able to create designs that are nationally recognized.”

For more than five decades, Graphic Design USA has sponsored design competitions that spotlight areas of excellence for creative professionals. The American Package Design Awards is the fastest growing. The reason is simple -- marketers are challenged as never before to convey their message. Package design -- along with the related disciplines of p-o-p and instore graphics -- is increasing the difference maker in purchasing decisions.

Winners will receive an embossed Certificate of Excellence for each winning entry, and winning pieces will be featured in Graphic Design USA's online gallery and may be reproduced in print.
