AutoStatus, a cloud-based automated claim statusing solution for the healthcare industry, is now available as a stand alone product rather than just a component of AlphaCollector, a collections workflow automation platform.

GAFFEY Healthcare announced today that their cloud-based automated claim statusing product, AutoStatus, will now be offered as a stand alone product. Before today's announcement, AutoStatus was solely available to the healthcare industry as a component of GAFFEY Healthcare’s flagship product, AlphaCollector, a collections workflow automation platform.

Healthcare providers submit thousands of patient claims to payers every day. For collectors in their business offices, inquiring on the statuses of those claims via telephone or the web and then updating patient accounting systems is a tedious and time-intensive process. With connectivity to Medicare and over 200 commercial payers nationwide, AutoStatus can automate and execute that process electronically with no human intervention and in far less time. Collectors can receive up-to-date notifications of which claims have been received, accepted or rejected and can act on denials up to two weeks earlier in the process resulting in lower AR days. The statuses can also automatically update to the accounting system, and by using screen-scraping technology, AutoStatus provides richer information than EDI data. The impacts and overall ROI are immediate and drastic.
