Top lecturers giving so much more than just frontal presentations.

The MTC 5-day Fundamental Implantology Course has been developed by MIS Implants to assist doctors, from a variety of dental disciplines, to offer implant placement treatment to their patients. Dr. Shelly Akazany explains. "From the onset we wanted this course to be a truly empowering experience for the doctors, and thanks to the excellence of the lecturers and the sheer energy and enthusiasm of the course participants, it has more than satisfied our aims."
Unlike large-scale training operations, the MTC course has been specifically designed for small intensive forums - almost like an incubator - which enables a lot of personal interaction with the presenters and important individual attention during workshops and discussions. "From the start, all 20 participants, from 6 different countries, were fully engaged, both in the professional curriculum and personally; successfully bonding together as a real community to share their experiences, interests and aspirations," says Shelly.
"One of the strongest points of the course definitely had to be the lecturers," Shelly continues. "They were the top of the top, conveying a wealth of both academic and clinical experience. They presented very practical issues that really spoke to the doctor’s everyday clinical needs; giving so much more than just frontal presentations. They were personally involved with each and every doctor, guiding the hands-on sessions and leading extremely stimulating discussions."
Shelly further expands on the course dynamics. "No question went unanswered and topics were explored in-depth for the benefit of all. This was particularly helpful since the course participants came from many different dental disciplines, with varying degrees of experience. The doctors, no matter what their age (20’s to 50’s), culture or language, melded quickly and easily into one cohesive group – it was really inspiring and I was amazed at how perfectly aligned they were with the aims of the MTC."
The main part of the Implantology Course took place at the MIS HQ conference facility in northern Israel. There was also a dedicated day at the Rambam Healthcare Campus in Haifa for lectures, a tour and the course certificate awards ceremony. "But it wasn’t all hard work," confides Shelly. "There was also plenty of fun, which included outstanding food and drink at some of the finest local restaurants and pubs, plus sightseeing tours that encompassed both Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem for an interesting overview of both ancient and modern history."
At the conclusion of the course, the doctors filled out feedback forms and their comments, Shelly explained, were anonymous but unanimous. “It was a perfect course”, “The organization and hospitality was superb”, “The lectures and training sessions were first class”.
This inaugural Fundamental Implantology Course for Doctors started Feb. 17th and had been fully booked since November. "We’re getting a lot of interest about the course and don’t want to turn any doctor away," offers Shelly, "therefore we’ve scheduled an additional fundamental course for May 12-16."
