Pearson Highlights Power of Digital Technology to Transform the Future of Learning at SXSWedu 2015
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) March 09, 2015 -- Innovation, efficacy and the transformative power of educational technology are among the topics that will be highlighted by Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, at SXSWedu 2015 next week in Austin. Celebrating five years in 2015, SXSWedu brings together a diverse community of education stakeholders to promote creativity and social change.
Don Kilburn, president, Pearson North America, will join leaders from other top education companies on a panel, Reinventing Industry: Changing Edu's "Big Three”, at 9 am on Wednesday, March 11. In the discussion, Kilburn will explore the evolving transformation of the education and edtech communities and what its implications are for educators, students and consumers. Pearson will also highlight its technology solutions for personalizing learning at the SXSWedu Education Expo from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, March 10.
Throughout the three days of the conference, the Pearson Learning Lounge (Austin Convention Center, room 19AB) will be a hub of presentations from Pearson and its partners, as well as provide attendees with a place to relax, network and charge their devices. Demonstrations of note in the Pearson Lounge will include REVEL, an immersive digital learning experience that enlivens course content with media interactives and assessments, and presentations such as “From Great Ideas to Impact: Efficacy, Research and Your Product” featuring the Pearson Global Efficacy & Research Team, and “Boy Scouts Explore What Makes Robots Work With New Enhanced Digital Interactive Merit Badge Experience.” During this “makers” session, Boy Scouts will engage with both physical and digital explorations of the inner workings of robots, exemplifying the ways that Pearson is collaborating with the Boy Scouts of America to bring interactivity and animation to the life-changing experiences.
