Finding an OEM steering column for a vintage ride could result in months of scouring junkyards and online auctions. ididit Retrofit Steering Columns offer a factory fit and function with no rusty components, no sketchy wiring, and no safety concerns.
Each ididit Retrofit steering column is designed for a specific vehicle application. They’re precisely engineered to retain all the features and aspects of the original column. That means the ignition switch, wiring terminals, and mounting brackets will all be where the factory first put them. ididit offers these columns as a solution to builders who want a modern steering feel but don’t want to hack up a firewall or wiring harness.
There are over 200 different models in ididit’s Retrofit steering column series. The columns can be had in power/manual steering configurations, with dash/column ignition and floor/column shift applications. Each one includes a self-cancelling turn signal stalk/switch and a switch for four-way flashers. They come with all the hardware and mounting brackets required for installation. The columns are designed for aftermarket steering wheels.
PowerNation TV fans saw the Detroit Muscle guys install one these ididit steering columns into their 1970 Dodge Challenger. Watch the full episode here.
