Whole Foods and Fairway are welcoming a new addition to the freezer aisle in and around New York City this April: Divino, maker of handcrafted gelato-filled fruits from the Amalfi Coast of Italy. The startup gelato brand launched in summer of 2014, and has been making enormous strides in the US market since then.

Divino's Amalfi Lemon is one of five flavors now available in and around NYC in Whole Foods and Fairway.

“We're thrilled to be arriving in New York City,” said Guido Molinari, CEO of Divino. “To be selling our product at some of the best and busiest grocery stores in the world – it's a great feeling, and we're excited for everyone to get to know Divino.”

For the first time ever, customers in New York will be able to find Divino at their local Whole Foods and Fairway. Divino's five flavors – Amalfi Lemon, Ciaculli Tangerine, Black Diamond Plum, Apulian Peach, and Roman Kiwi – are all natural, certified gluten free, fat free, vegetarian, and Non-GMO Project Verified, and bring the taste of sunny Southern Italy to the world directly from their home on the Amalfi Coast. Each individually-packaged fruit comes with a serving tray and spoon.

In addition to Whole Foods and Fairway, Divino is also now available at CIBO Express Gourmet Market, located in LaGuardia International Airport U.S. Airways Terminal C, and will be part of CIBO at John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 5 and Newark International Airport Terminal C in the coming months. Since their launch at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City last June, Divino has signed on with a growing list of retailers including Central Market, Mariano's, and the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel.

Divino is on track to be available in 1200 points of sale in the United States alone by August 2015. They expect to reach all fifty states by the end of 2015, as well as several countries including the UK, Spain, Australia, Japan, China, and Korea.

Divino promoted their new tri-state area availability at the Armory Show in New York City, where art collectors sampled their gelato-filled fruits on VIP Preview Day. They were also at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show VIP Opening Night Party, and were a featured dessert backstage during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and at the Sundance Film Festival this year.
