ETA International Offers FCC License Testing at Hamvention

ETA International will proctor all FCC Commercial Radio License exams at the 2015 Dayton Hamvention, one of the largest and premiere Amateur Radio shows and flea markets. The show will be May 15 to 17 in Dayton, Ohio where thousands of ‘hams’ from across North America and around the world will converge.

As one of only 13 FCC Commercial Operator License Examination Managers (COLEMs) in the nation, ETA Internationa l will have test proctors available during all three days of 2015 Dayton Hamvention. Commercial FCC license exams are lifetime exams.

ETA offers a price discount when two or more FCC Element exams are taken at the same time. One element is $50 but two taken together is still only $50 and three taken together is just $70. The Montgomery GI Bill covers FCC exams for reimbursement for qualified military personnel.

lroberson(at)eta-i(dot)org. Visit ETA at the Hamvention booth #BA0429 to schedule an exam on site. ETA certification and FCC license exams will be administered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Friday and Saturday and 9 am to noon on Sunday.

FCC Licenses include: Marine Radio Operator Permit (MP) - Element 1, General Radiotelephone Operator License (PG) - Elements 1 & 3, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Operator (DO) - Elements 1 & 7, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System - Restricted (RG) - Elements 1 & 7, Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Maintainer (DM) - Elements 1, 3 & 9, Radiotelegraph Operator (T) and Ship Radar Endorsement - Element 8.

ETA International has been a COLEM since the FCC privatized license exam administration in 1993. ETA International has issued over 150,000 technical certifications in more than 80 programs in numerous technical fields. Since the FCC recently stopped issuing paper licenses, ETA International now offers a' Communications Technology Technician (CTT) certificate to FCC Commercial License holders of the GROL, GMDSS Maintainer, and the Telegraphy licenses. A CTT wall certificate from ETA proclaims a Communications Electronics Technician certification has been earned. No exam is required. Simply send ETA a copy of your valid FCC license and a $50 (US) fee. (Canadian Radio Communications Operator Licenses are also valid for the CTT).

The CTT certificate is laminated and includes the gold ETA corporate seal. It also contains the registration CTT number ETA has assigned, as well as the FCC or DOC license number.
