Payment Fusion and Ingenico Group partner to streamline the process of integrating to EMV certified payment terminals.

Payment Fusion handles all of the integration, and doesn’t require any software to be installed on the POS device

Payment Fusion, a cloud-based provider of payment integration services and Ingenico Group, the global leader in seamless payment, announced that they are working together to streamline the process of integrating to EMV certified payment terminals.

Many software providers are currently struggling with EMV/Chip and PIN integration and certification. Together, Payment Fusion and Ingenico Group are making that effort significantly easier with an approach called semi-integrated – sensitive card data never enters the POS, but is instead handled by Ingenico Group terminals, which are already EMV and PCI certified. Payment Fusion handles all of the integration, and doesn’t require any software to be installed on the POS device, which is a big benefit to customers.

This powerful payment processing and secure hardware solution can be effectively leveraged by Payment Fusion’s network of independent software vendors (ISVs) and value added resellers. Developers now have a resource for an easy, seamless EMV payment integration to prepare for the October 2015 fraud liability shift deadline. Also, developers can use the combined solution and Ingenico Group’s payment devices to enhance their product offerings with a payment application for card-present merchants – something that all card-present businesses need.

“The queues for EMV certifications are lengthening as we approach the October 2015 liability shift deadline,” said Bernie Frey, Senior Vice President, Acquirer Sales for Ingenico Group. “Payment Fusion’s innovative approach to helping customers prepare for this transition will save those customers time and money, and ensure they are ready for the liability shift with a proven and secure payment acceptance solution.”

“Ingenico Group’s dedication to its partners has provided us with a great experience. The resources they have provided along with excellent developer support have been a key component in building Payment Fusion, a web-based payment system for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). We are looking forward to continuing the innovation of next generation electronic payment applications while leveraging Ingenico Group’s stellar development platform,” said Mike Sheffey, Payment Fusion CTO.

One of the healthcare industry’s top revenue cycle management providers has leveraged their existing partnership with Payment Fusion to enhance their existing suite of healthcare payment products to become EMV-ready. The solution made possible by Ingenico Group’s and Payment Fusion’s collaboration resulted in the RCM provider saving valuable development time and money. The RCM provider is nearing completion of their pilot rollouts and has already successfully deployed the new EMV platform to some enterprise healthcare clients. This solution provided the client with the ability to accept all forms of payment including EMV and NFC transactions in preparation for the EMV fraud liability shift deadline.
