G.W. Anderson, known by his peers as a “pioneer in Utah’s oil and gas industry.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) April 02, 2015
Holland & Hart is pleased to partner with the Anderson Hatch Foundation in the first-ever G.W. Anderson Oil & Gas Fellowship award. The Fellowship was recently awarded to a first year law student at the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law.
The Anderson Hatch Foundation created the Fellowship in honor of the family patriarch, G.W. Anderson, known by his peers as a “pioneer in Utah’s oil and gas industry.” The Foundation aims to provide smart, talented students an opportunity to gain experience in the oil and gas industry.
Holland & Hart’s contribution to the Fellowship includes a paid summer internship in the firm’s oil and gas law practice group in the Salt Lake City office to be used between the recipient’s first and second year of law school.
In addition to valuable experience gained through the Holland & Hart summer internship, the Fellowship awards the recipient a scholarship of $5,000, paid for by the Anderson Hatch Foundation, which qualifies the recipient for a partial waiver of his or her tuition and fees in addition to the scholarship under the University’s graduate student tuition benefit program.
The Fellowship considers the student’s academic performance and experience or demonstrated interest in the fields related to oil and gas law or natural resources law. The recipient is selected by a committee that includes the faculty from the S.J. Quinney College of Law, a representative of the Anderson Hatch Foundation, and a representative of Holland & Hart.
