119 law firms—or about 10% more firms than in 2014—earn corporate counsel recognition for engaging in new and different behaviors, in which other law firms don’t, as revealed in the just-released BTI Brand Elite 2015: Client Perceptions of the Best-Branded Law Firms. The BTI Consulting Group’s newest in-depth research with 648 corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and large organizations finds 119 law firms have the biggest imprint on corporate counsel in one of the key brand differentiators as innovative movers & shakers.

Innovative behaviors deliver value and, most importantly, show clients a law firm brings new and different ideas to a client’s legal and business problems. Innovation is one of those rare attributes which attracts new business. Clients will seek out a law firm if they think they can get a new take on old ideas—or just what is perceived to be a better approach.

K&L Gates and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom join the Innovative Movers & Shakers Best of Best ranks this year, while Alston & Bird, Blake, Cassels & Graydon, Foley & Lardner, Kelley Drye & Warren, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, Polsinelli, Simmons & Simmons and Venable join the ranks of the Leading Innovative Movers & Shakers.
