SWI Vintage Hosts the Last of Ficks Reed

The Ficks Reed company went out of business in 2011, and this remaining inventory will never be seen again.

SWI Vintage announces a special collection of the very last pieces of Ficks Reed rattan furniture sold exclusively on its shop page on One Kings Lane starting May 13th at 9PM EST. This carefully curated collection includes one-of-a-kind, new Ficks Reed tables, chairs, and benches, along with coordinating decorative vintage items to give any home an infusion of Palm Beach style, and the latest trend of bringing outside furniture inside.

“We were very lucky to have acquired the last inventory of Ficks Reed furniture frames available in the U.S. market,” says Tenesa Wildermuth, co-founder of SWI Vintage. “The Ficks Reed company went out of business in 2011, and this remaining inventory will never be seen again,” adds Wildermuth.

SWI Vintage has maintained the high quality standards of Ficks Reed by employing former Ficks Reed sewers and upholsters with decades of experience, and the foam has been sourced from the original company used by Ficks Reed. SWI Vintage has brought Ficks Reed furniture back to life one final time by covering the cushions with high quality, bold print fabrics reminiscent of Palm Beach style from F. Schumacher & Co.® and Dorothy Draper & Co.

“Ficks Reed was a highly coveted home furniture brand for generations,” says Anne Shanahan, co-founder of SWI Vintage. “It was known for using only the best grades of rattan in its furniture,” adds Shanahan.
