LStar Management Names National Real Estate Executive Hampton Pitts as Partner and Chief Operating Officer

Hampton Pitts, a veteran Raleigh real estate executive, recognized for managing top homebuilding organizations and developing distinctive residential communities, has been named a partner and Chief Operating Officer of LStar Management, a privately held real estate investment firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Hampton brings three decades of real estate development, homebuilding and operational leadership to LStar. An accomplished homebuilding executive, he most recently served as Regional Vice President for Ashton Woods Homes overseeing Texas and the Carolinas. Ashton Woods Homes is one of the nation’s five largest privately held home builders.

“Hampton brings distinctive residential experience as well as a national perspective on creative, community-focused development,” said Kyle Corkum, managing partner and co-founder of LStar. “He has proven his real estate creativity during the past few months as a senior consultant with LStar, and we are proud to have him join us as a partner and officer in the firm.”

At Ashton Woods, Pitts initially launched the Raleigh Division as its first and founding Division President. He was later promoted and served as Regional Executive Vice President, where he managed more than 250 employees in North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.

An alumnus of and leader at N.C. State University, Hampton chairs the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Poole College of Management. Previously, he has chaired the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Before his Ashton Woods experience, Hampton worked for more than 16 years at Centex Homes and founded the Myrtle Beach Division before becoming the Division President in Raleigh, North Carolina, a position he held for many years.
