We are very proud that the Godbout family is happy with their upgraded equestrian center, and feel a sense of great achievement when we hear about the compliments they constantly hear.

Two years after being rescued from a fire in extremis by Popeye, a huge Neapolitan Mastiff, the 17 survivor horses now live in a 30'x180' stable delivered by Allied Steel Buildings back on February 2014.
Les Ecuries Godbout, an equestrian center just east of Montreal went up in flames in the middle of the night due to an electrical fire in the fall. Thanks to the help of the equestrian community, the coach, Mr. Godbout, rebuilt an improved version of his stable, now woodless.
Besides the stable, for the updated equestrian center, Allied Steel Buildings supplied another 60'x180' steel equestrian building to host an indoor arena, a one bedroom condo, a kitchen, and shows.
Allied developed a design that met Mr. Godbout's needs and budget, and jointly with Consumaj, a consulting firm specialized in agro-alimentary, agricultural, environmental and civil Engineering, developed the engineering for the project. After delivering the buildings, Allied Steel Buildings assisted Mr. Godbout throughout the installation until the two buildings were completed.
"There is not a piece of wood into the steel structure. Everything was structured differently," said Mr. Godbout.
Another novelty; the stable of 16,200 square feet now hosts 36 horses instead of the 32 that fit in the past.
"It was built to make everything more convenient. The walkways are freer; the boxes are bigger. It is best suited for maintenance, " he added.
A loft was also designed to welcome coaches or jumpers from the outside. The team now has an office and a clubhouse to observe the students during their training on the carousel. One year after the installation, the steel buildings are impeccable and working at full capacity.
“It was a pleasure to work with Real and Justin Godbout to restore their equestrian building. After the fire, the family was devastated, but that changed rapidly once they saw our product going up, it was a flawless and smooth process from start to finish. We are very proud that the Godbout family is happy with their upgraded equestrian center, and feel a sense of great achievement when we hear about the compliments they constantly hear.” said Joseph Montant, Regional Manager Quebec at Allied Steel Buildings.
Currently, the center is preparing for the season as more students are joining his school to train for competitions both in the US and Canada.
