Long before joining the Backyard Farms Chef Network, I supported and used Backyard Farms tomatoes both at home and in my restaurants. You just can’t get a better, more consistently delicious tomato in the off-season in Maine.

Backyard Farms, the largest grower of year-round tomatoes in New England, is pleased to announce that Shannon Bard, a rising star in the New England culinary scene, has joined Backyard Farms as an exclusive member of its Chef Network. Chef Bard is the recent winner of Food Network's "Kitchen Inferno" and has appeared on “Beat Bobby Flay."

Bard, also the owner of Zapoteca Restaurante Y Tequileria in Portland, Maine and Mixteca Taqueria Y Cantina in Durham, New Hampshire, is dedicated to offering authentic seasonally influenced Mexican dishes with a bold and innovative flair. Backyard Farms will work with Chef Bard to bring consumers delicious recipes, cooking demonstrations and social media promotions.
