The Benzie County Visitors Bureau is offering a fun vacation getaway package for Summer 2015 called the "Benzie Treasure Trove." Benzie County is located in Northwest Michigan’s Lower Peninsula along The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Benzie County has nearly 30 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline perfect for summer vacation beach going, summer sports and recreational activities including boating, fishing, dune climbing and more.

The “Benzie Treasure Trove” is a popular Benzie County getaway package that includes nearly $200 worth of free activities, food and gift items from various restaurants and businesses throughout the county for visitors who stay 2 or more consecutive nights at one of the many participating Benzie County lodging locations. "Benzie Treasure Trove" also helps visitors experience quality entertainment activities while on vacation, as well as, is a great way to sample local dining and shopping opportunities during their visit.

The “Benzie Treasure Trove” is offered from Memorial Day Weekend - May 22 through October 31, 2015. Visitors coming for a getaway to Benzie County are invited to view http://www.visitbenzie.com to sign up for the promotion online prior to their booked vacation.

Sports and Active Recreation
Benzie County is known as “the best place in Michigan for Outdoor Sports & Recreation.” There are ongoing outdoor activities and events all season long including the "Michigan PGA Women's Open" at Crystal Mountain to the Benzie Fishing Frenzy and the "National Coho Salmon Festival" honoring the 'salmon run' along the first river that began salmon fishing in the Great Lakes. The area’s outdoor activities cater to a wide variety of sports and recreational interests including biking, hiking, running, golf, fishing, kite boarding, surfing and more.
