We always enjoy it when a group comes in, as it’s not only fun to demonstrate our fabric cutters, but it’s also great to be able to share our story in person.

The creators of the Art and Stitch design software, Loes and Theo Van der Heijden, brought their class of 25 embroiderers to AccuQuilt recently for a tour and to learn how to effectively use AccuQuilt appliqué shapes with their design software to create stunning embroidery designs.
The group toured AccuQuilt during a break from their 2-day retreat at Country Traditions, a quilt shop in Fremont, NE. After viewing the quilts displayed throughout AccuQuilt Headquarters, they stopped by the AccuQuilt Gallery to see the Hortense Beck Exhibit, where Chief Energizing Officer, Steve Nabity, did a presentation.
“We always enjoy it when a group comes in, as it’s not only fun to demonstrate our fabric cutters, but it’s also great to be able to share our story in person,” Nabity said.
The class also stopped by the AccuQuilt Dream Studio where they were able to see all the GO! and Studio fabric cutters, an impressive fabric-cutting die display, and the sewing, embroidery and longarm machines. The Dream Studio is also where AccuQuilt employees get to work on their quilting projects for two hours per week.
The Art and Stitch design software was created with longarm quilters and embroiderers in mind. The Dutch husband and wife team are making embroidery digitizing easier, so that quilters can become instant designers. They also love to show quilters how much fun appliqué is on a longarm machine when using their software and AccuQuilt appliqué shapes.
