The Henning Group has completed construction of the Discovery Village Senior Living Facility in Naples Florida. A 120,000 square foot building with 120 resident units. The Facility includes 3 story Assisted Living and Supervised Independent Living wings, along with an attached self-contained one story Memory Care Unit.
"The Facility is state of the art in the industry and for the residents enjoyment there are numerous on site amenities and services," says Bob DiBacco (Project Manager). The main floor common area includes the “Legends” Club & Bar and a Living Area with a gas fireplace, the “Sensations” Dining Room with an Exhibition Kitchen, a Private Dining Room, full service restaurant style Kitchen, Therapy Pool and Wellness Center, and Bailey’s Bistro and Ice Cream Parlor. The second floor common area boasts numerous activities for residents including a multi-purpose theater complete with a movie screen and cinema style seating, a card room, library/media center, arts and crafts, and an activities director. The third floor is home for the Salon and spa where residents can get haircuts, manicures and massages.
The Memory care will enjoy its own amenities including a Country Kitchen and dining room, Activity Areas, Family and Living Rooms, Beauty Salon and Spa. Additionally, all Assisted and Independent Living resident units include kitchenettes.
For those residents looking to get some fresh air there are multiple courtyards offering sitting areas, gardens for planting, lawn game activities, and Life trail stations.
Site clearing commenced in October 2013, with vertical construction of the building starting in December 2013. Discovery Village is in the final stages of obtaining operating licenses and residents are scheduled to begin moving in to their new units in June 2015.
